Involved parties called for active contributions in East Sea

All activities by parties involved in the East Sea need to actively contribute to building peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Le Hai Binh said on November 20.

Binh responded to reporters’ questions onthe announcement of China’s strategic action plan on energy developmentfor 2014-2020.

“We suppose all activities byparties concerned in the East Sea will strictly abide by internationallaw, especially the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of theSea, as well as respecting the sovereignty, sovereign rights andjurisdiction of coastal countries.”, he added.
