Rome (VNA) – An Italian-language book entitled “Il Banco Di Sabbia Dorata. Il Vietnam e Gli arcipelaghi del Mare Orientale” (Golden sands, Vietnam and archipelagoes in the East Sea) was introduced in Rome, Italy, on September 27.

The book was written by Sandra Scagliotti, Director of the Centre for Vietnam Studies in Turin of Italy, aiming to show that the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes belong to Vietnam.

Published by Epics Edizioni, it features a range of articles by prestigious Vietnamese and foreign scholars about history, geo-politics, strategy, anthropology and legality of the East Sea issue.

In addition, the book contains persuasive evidence such as photos of the Nguyen Dynasty’s royal records and maps that affirm Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes.

The book was launched in Turin city, northern Italy, on September 19.
