Tokyo (VNA) – Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa is planning to visit Brunei, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand from October 8 to October 13, according to a press release by the Foreign Ministry.

During the visit, Minister Kamikawa will hold meetings with government officials of each country, including the second Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Erywan bin Yusof, Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Saleumxay Kommasith, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand Parnpree Bahiddha-nukara.

She is expected to confirm that Japan will continue to work closely with each country to uphold and strengthen a free and open international order based on the rule of law, deepen bilateral relationships in a wide range of fields, respond to various regional and international challenges, as well as to successfully hold the Commemorative Summit for the 50th year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation in December this year./.
