Hanoi (VNA) – The Party Central Committee’s Commission forOrganisation on September 14 held a seminar on Japan’s human resources policyduring the Meiji Restoration period and its significance and impact on Japan’sdevelopment.
The event, with the coordination from the Japan InternationalCooperation Agency (JICA) and the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, was an activityin the framework of the Vietnam-Japan project on administrative reform, whichhas a component on human resources development.
JICA President Shinichi Kitaoka, who is on a visit to Vietnam, was themain speaker at the online talk, with the attendance of officials of the PartyCommittees of 63 provinces and centrally-run cities; the Party Committee of thecentrally-run business bloc, the Party Committee of overseas Partyorganisations, and the General Political Department of the Vietnam People’sArmy.
In opening the seminar, deputy head of the Party Central Committee’sCommission for Organisation Mai Van Chinh stressed the aim of the event, which wasto study Japan’s experience to draw lessons for Vietnam’s human resourcespolicy in the current stage.
Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Umeda Kunio said he hoped Vietnameseofficials can obtain useful information from Japan’s experience.
Human resource training is an important part in personnel work andreceives special attention from the Party and State of Vietnam.-VNA
