The Japanese wholly invested company, Tiger Vietnam Co., Ltd, inaugurated its first home electric appliance plant in Vietnam’s southern province of Dong Nai on November 2.
The 12 million USD plant, located at the Amata industrial park, will produce such products as thermos and rice cookers.
A Tiger’s representative said the decision to build a plant in Vietnam signifies Tiger’s identification of Vietnam as a strategic market for its production and sales in the region in the coming time.
Set up 90 years ago, Tiger is now a large-scale home electric appliance group in Japan . Its products have been sold in 60 countries, mainly in Asia and North America .
Japan is one of the countries having the largest number of investment projects in Dong Nai, with 141 projects worth a total 2.8 billion USD.-VNA
