Khon performance to promote Thai culture in Europe

Thailand will organise traditional Khon performances and exhibitions on the achievements of Queen Sirikit, late King Bhumibol Adulyadej in Europe this month to strengthen the Thai-European relations.
Bangkok (NNT/VNA) – Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Culture will organise traditional Khon performances and exhibitions on the achievements of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the queen consort of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, in Europe this month to strengthen the Thai-European relations. 

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Khon performance and the exhibition will be held from May 6 to 30 in various cities with an aim to promote the Thai monarchy, Thai culture and tighten relations between European nations and Thailand. 

It is also hoped that the events will boost trade and tourism in Thailand.

The traditional Khon performance and the exhibition on Her Majesty the Queen's achievements will take place in Rome, Lisbon, Madrid, Vienna, Frankfurt, and Antwerp.-VNA
