Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on August 9 inspected the construction site of the new Phong Chau bridge, and surveyed a planned route for the Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong railway section running through the northern province of Phu Tho.
The Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong railway will run approximately 16.7 km through the province, starting from Lac Dao commune (bordering Bac Ninh province) and ending in Thuong Hong ward (bordering Hai Phong city).
Hung Yen province has had a working session with the Ministry of Construction on the survey of the route direction and scale of the line's section running through the province.
The Minister of Construction was asked to work closely with local authorities to hasten land clearance, compensation, resettlement, site surveys, and the drafting of a feasibility study, which must be completed by June 2025, setting the stage for the project's groundbreaking on December 19, 2025.
Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh insisted that flagship projects, including the Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong railway and the North – South high-speed railway, must meet deadlines without compromising quality.
