Lao Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong on August 29 held a reception for a high-ranking delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC)’s Organisation Commission led by its head To Huy Rua.
Rua, who is also a Politburo member and secretary of the CPVCC, affirmed that Vietnam will join hands with Laos and do its utmost to nurture and further develop the special friendship between the two countries.
He briefed his host on the outcomes of his working visit and confirmed that his commission will work with the Organisation Commission of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) to realise cooperation agreements between the two sides.
He congratulated Laos on the significant achievements it has recorded during its national construction and development.
Rua expressed belief that under the leadership of the LPRP, Laos will reap more success in its renewal process, and successfully building it into a country of peace, independence, democracy and prosperity.
He said he is delighted at the practical and effective development of the Vietnam-Laos traditional friendship, special solidarity and multifaceted cooperation in all fields.
Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong spoke highly of the cooperation between the two commissions over the past years, which, he said, has contributed to consolidating and promoting the bilateral special ties.
He said he hopes the two sides will continue their close coordination and further strengthen the exchange of information and experience in party building, while boosting mutual support in realising resolutions of either Party.
Laos appreciates the precious and effective help that Vietnam has given to the country in all fields through time, he said.
The Lao PM affirmed that his Party, Government and people will exert every effort to maintain and foster the everlasting relations between the two countries.-VNA
