The Columba CMA CGM container verssel docked at Cai Mep International Terminal (CMIT) in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau on March 30.
The 131,263 DWT Columba CMA CGM which is 363 metres in length and has a capacity of 11.388 TEU, is the largest ever container vessel to arrive in Vietnam sea port.
As a joint venture between Denmark’s Maersk A/S, Vietnam Shipping Lines and Sai Gon port, the port sits on a site of 48 hectares and is capable of receiving containers vessels of up to 160,000 DWT./.
