Brussels (VNA) – The book on the path to socialism in Vietnam by late Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong attracted special attention from international friends at the annual Manifiesta (Solidarity) Festival held recently by the Workers’ Party of Belgium.

On display were French, English, and Dutch versions of the book “Some theoretical and practical issues on socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam”, whose Vietnamese version was launched on the occasion of the 92nd founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - 2022).

The Party leader's highly popular book gathers his 29 outstanding articles and speeches, aiming to help cadres, Party members, and people gain an insight into socialism and the path to the system in Vietnam so as to promote consensus in the society and bring into play the great national solidarity to achieve the strategic goals set by the Party, late President Ho Chi Minh, and the people.

Simon Jacquet, a 70-year-old festival-goer, expressed her wish to introduce the book to her children, saying they all love Vietnam and admire the country’s robust development.

Zeno Engelen, 26, said he believes that the book will give him an insight into the path to socialism in Vietnam.

Apart from the book, the Vietnamese booth also showcased documents on President Ho Chi Minh, drawing those who love the Vietnamese history and culture.

On this occasion, the Vietnam News Agency displayed special publications by its Vietnam Pictorial and Le Courrier du Vietnam.

Visitors were treated to Vietnamese coffee, tea, and green bean cake, and other specialties from the Southeast Asian nation.

The festival, which took place on September 7-8, welcomed more than 15,000 visitors with various activities./.
