President Truong Tan Sang and National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung have offered incense in commemoration of President Ho Chi Minh at House 67 where he spent the last days of his life 45 years ago.

They visited the House, which lies in a relic site dedicated to the late President, in Hanoi on August 15 ahead of his 45 th commemorative anniversary (September 2).

Built and completed in 1967, the flat-roofed house was once a meeting venue of the Politburo during years of the fiercest sabotage war by the Americans in the north. It is where the President met senior officials coming to report the battle situation.

On behalf of soldiers and people nationwide, the leaders expressed their deep sentiments in commemoration of his meritorious service to the nation.

They asked the relic site staff to preserve artifacts and introduce Uncle Ho’s life and revolutionary career to friends worldwide.

The site now welcomes millions of visitors each year.

Also in the morning of the day, Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi also came to pay respect to the late leader.-VNA
