Leaders send greetings to Cuba on National Day

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Truong Tan Sang and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung have sent their greetings to Raul Castro Ruz, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, President of the Council of State and President of the Council of Ministers on the 55th anniversary of Cuba’s National Day (January 1).
Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Truong Tan Sang and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung have sent their greetings to Raul Castro Ruz, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, President of the Council of State and President of the Council of Ministers on the 55th anniversary of Cuba’s National Day (January 1).

They said “Vietnam’s leaders and people always stand side by side with Cuba’s fraternal people in their revolutionary cause, sparing no effort to help the two countries’ traditional friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation develop.”

Regardless of the difficulties arising over the last five decades, Cuban people have taken firm steps on their way to develop socialism in the spirit of independence, self-reliance, bravery and staunchness, the leaders hailed.

On the occasion, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung also sent a message of good wishes to his Cuban counterpart Esteben Lazo. Another congratulatory one to Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parilla was conveyed by his Vietnamese counterpart Pham Binh Minh.-VNA
