An Giang (VNA) – Police of the Mekong Delta province of An Giang on April 25 said they just issued a decision to start legal procedures against a local man to continue their investigation on his subversive acts.
Initial investigations show that Le Ngoc Thanh, born in 1972, used Facebook to befriend with many people inside and outside the country who are members of reactionary organisations. Last November, Thanh registered to join the “provisional national government of Vietnam”, a reactionary organisation, and provided his personal information to take part in the “referendum” to elect Dao Minh Quan as the “President of the third Republic of Vietnam”.
After joining the reactionary organisation for some time, Thanh received two flags of the former Saigon regime and a number of documents relating to the organisation. Upon learning of the arrest of a number of the members of the organisation, Thanh created another Facebook account to continue his activities.
He was arrested on April 15./.
