Hanoi (VNA) – Pham Thi Thuy Lien took her first stage win at the National Women’s Open Cycling Tournament on July 13 and jumps to the second place on the overall ranking.

Lien of VUS HCM City completed the 110km fourth stage from Binh Chanh District, HCM City to Tra Vinh Province with a time of 3hr 32.33min.

She left Pham Hong Loan of Biwase Binh Duong and Phang Grace of Indonesia far behind.

Yellow jersey holder Nguyen Thi That of Hat Ngoc Troi finished in fifth position but maintains her top place in the rankings.

The Republic of Korea are still on top of the team ranking.

The fifth stage will see athletes cycling from Tra Vinh to Can Tho City over a distance of 101km.-VNA
