Hanoi (VNA) – An art programme was broadcast live at the same time inHanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, the northern province of Tuyen Quang, the centralprovince of Nghe An, and southern Dong Thap province on May 18 evening to markthe 130th birth anniversary of late President Ho Chi Minh (May 19).

The programme “Ho ChiMinh, Sang ngoi y chi Viet Nam” (Ho Chi Minh, shining the will of Vietnam) wasjointly held by the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information andEducation, the Vietnam Television and the five localities.

The event saw thepresence of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, National Assembly ChairwomanNguyen Thi Kim Ngan, and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front CentralCommittee Tran Thanh Man, among others.

It was part of aseries of the activities in celebration of the late leader’s 130th birthday.

President Ho Chi Minhwas born on May 19, 1890, in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province.He devoted his whole life to the cause of national liberation, while tirelesslystriving for peace and progress around the world.

He also led thestruggle for national independence and established the Democratic Republic ofVietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, in 1945. The President passedaway in 1969./.
