The third Int’l Three-cushion Billiards Carom tournament, which took place in the southern province of Binh Duong from August 15-18, was dominated by local players despite the presence of several world’s big names.
Do Duc Hien from Can Tho won the first place, while Nguyen Duy Trung from Da Nang came second and Tran Quyet Chien, a champion favourite, was at third.
Leading Vietnamese players such as Ngo Dinh Nai and Duong Anh Vu, together with the world’s big names such as Cho Jae Ho – winner of the 2014 World Cup in Turkey and one of the world top 10; Takeshima O - Japan’s national champion in 2013 and No. 27 on the Billiard World Federation listing; and Japanese 2014 champion Arai Tasuo, were unsuccessful at the event.-VNA
