A project to improve local livelihoods amid climate change based on the ecological system of Lang Sen wetland reserve in the southern province of Long An has come to fruition two years after it began, heard a local conference on December 27 to review its activities.
It has helped local communities settle and tie their lives to the reserve while improving the managerial and professional skills of its staff who also learn about planning and putting each project’s activity in place.
The 340,000 USD project is carried out by the Vietnam Fund for Nature under the auspices of the Swedish Government.
