Long An vows to facilitate Belarusian investments

Long An is willing to create favourable conditions for Belarusian businesses to expand their investment in the locality, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Nguyen Van Duoc said on August 22.

Long An (VNA) – Long An is willing to create favourable conditions for Belarusian businesses to expand their investment in the locality, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Nguyen Van Duoc said on August 22.

Receiving Belarusian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Ruslan Varankou, Duoc stated that the Mekong Delta province hopes to receive Belarusian investment in the processing and export of foodstuffs and agricultural products, as well as intensifying cooperation in cultural, and trade activities in Vietnam and Long An province.

He proposed the Belarusian Consulate General act as a bridge to strengthen collaboration between the two countries and between Long An and Belarusian localities.

Long An is committed to intensifying administrative procedure reforms and ensuring that investors receive full benefits from preferential policies as stipulated when implementing projects here, the leader affirmed.

Varankou noted that Long An has the advantage of being a gateway connecting Ho Chi Minh City - the largest economic hub of Vietnam - with the southwestern provinces to enable comprehensive economic development through high-tech agriculture and tourism that reflects the region’s river-based characteristics.

He pledged to promote investment and cooperation activities between Belarus and Vietnam in his position, aiming to create positive impressions and strengthen relations between Belarusian localities and Long An./.

Foreign policy contributes to propelling Vietnam into new era
