Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese player Ly Hoang Nam finished second in the men’s singles of the India F3 Futures tennis tournament, which concluded in India’s Chandigarh city on March 17.
The player lost 3-6, 4-6 in the final to the host’s Prajnesh Gunneswaran, who ranked 235 in the world.
Earlier, he defeated Spanish player Boluda Purkiss, the No.2 seed 6-4, 6-2, in the semi-final on March 16.
Nam, the tournament’s No.3 seed and world No.475, is expected to improve his Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP)’s men’s singles rankings after the tournament. -VNA
