Made-in-Vietnam satellite NANODRAGON to be launched into orbit before March 2022
Product of the “Nano-class satellite development, launch and trial operation” project, under the “National Science and Technology Programme on space technology from 2016 to 2020”
Vietnam hopes to lead ASEAN in satellite development in the coming decades, Dr. Pham Anh Tuan, Director of the Vietnam Satellite Centre, told the Ha Noi Moi (New Hanoi) newspaper.
MicroDragon, a made-in-Vietnam earth observation satellite, will be launched into orbit by an Epsilon-4 rocket from the Uchinoura Space Centre in Japan’s Kagoshima Prefecture at 7:50 of January 17 (Hanoi time), the Vietnam National Space Centre (VNSC) announced on January 9.
Micro Dragon, a satellite made by Vietnamese engineers, was launched into space at 9:50 (Japanese time) on January 18 by Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)
A Made-in-Vietnam satellite called NanoDragon will be launched into orbit by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency before March 2022, according to the Vietnam National Space Centre.
