Majestic art shows to rock Da Nang in summer

Hanoi (VNA) – First-ever art shows combined with Jetski & Flyboard performances will take place at entertainment complex Da Nang Downtown in the central city of Da Nang from June 15, gathering world leading artists.

"Awaken River", a Jetski & Flyboard adventure sports show and "Symphony of River" – a multi-experience art show combined with Jetski & Flyboard and nightly fireworks performances will be the highlights of various entertainments that Da Nang Downtown, formerly known as Asia Park, promises to treat visitors with this summer.

A series of shows will be presented for the first time in Da Nang on a grand scale with the performance of world top artists.

Awaken River

As its names tells, first images of the first-ever show to be presented in the central tourism capital revealed that the “Awaken River” is likely to awaken the quiet western bank of the Han River with performance that will wow audience.

Suspense, thrill and satisfaction are the emotions that the first "wind-breaking" show in Da Nang promises to bring to the audience.

Taking place from 5:30pm every day at the riverside stage with a capacity of nearly 3,000 seats at Da Nang Downtown, Awaken River will show the talents of 10 international jetski athletes and five leading flyboard athletes. Notable among them is Russian female athlete Kristina Isaeva, world runner-up at the 2019 Flyfest tournament, who performed three "unique" somersaults on Moscow river that were praised by New York Post and Daily Mail.

Throughout the show, Awaken River will treat audience to a vibrant music space with Jetski water displays or acrobatics and flyboarding up to 15m above the river surface by world flyboard champions. Before that, the audience will enjoy the opening performance with the adventurous and charismatic dances by more than 20 artists in the Parkour Hiphop performance on the poetic stage on the river.

Awaken River will be available on all weekdays. Particularly, from June 15 to July 10, residents of Da Nang and neighbouring Quang Nam province will enjoy Awaken River with a promotion price at 100,000 VND (3.93 USD) per ticket, providing them a great chance to fully enjoy the first “wind-riding, wave-breaking” show in the beautiful coastal city.

Symphony of River

As Awaken River awakens the west bank of the Han River every sunset, "Symphony of River" tells the audience an extremely poetic and a fairy tale about the river that has created the spirit of Da Nang. This is also the first-ever show in Da Nang in particular and Vietnam in general, bringing together many types of art and a large number of the world's top stars.

Turning the impossible into possible, "Symphony of River" is an impressive combination of live classical symphony music with circus performances, magic, extreme sports and artistic fireworks, to tell a beautiful fairy tale about the unexpected and exciting meeting of fairies and Dark elves creatures that have been hiding for millions of years under the Han River.

Light and music blended with the "top-notch" performances of dancers and athletes will make the audience immense themselves in the fairy-tale world of Symphony of River.

Each type of art and each episode of the show will lead the audience from one surprise to another, making it impossible for them to predict what level of emotions the symphony on the river will take them to next, then be amazed and constantly excited at the top performances of the world's leading artists, including Anatoliy Zalevskiy – the pride of Ukraine circus and a world monument of hand-balancing; Oleg Izosimov who holds a series of unbeaten records for balancing; and Lena Koehn - an excellent Diablo - Juggling performer from Germany, known worldwide for her incredible juggling skills.

Audiences will also be sublime in the passionate dances in the air and on the water of more than 20 world-class Jetski &Flyboard athletes. Flyboard swirls draw paintings of water and light in the air. The jetskis depict on the water the beauty of a young girl who has just woken up in the night. What makes an explode and burst of emotion is the last act of the show, when a series of fireworks soared high, playing the epic song of the Han River, making audience feel like the Han River is arousing its long pent-up emotions for the first time and showing all of its mysteries in each chapter of the show.

The show is likened to Hollywood blockbusters coming to life with the staging of director Tuan Le - author of famous plays such as Lang Toi, A O, and Teh Dar, and H2O – a company with 30-year experience and the organiser of over 3,500 Jetski events, fireworks, and 2,100 Flyboard shows worldwide. In particular, H20 engaged in in blockbuster movies Bond, Mission Impossible, and Baywatch. Choreographed by the world's leading directors and producers, Symphony of River will be a majestic "musical framework" while the artists and athletes are the soaring and sublime "notes".
