The US Agency for International Development (USAID) on July 23 presented natural disaster early-warning and rescue equipment to localities most vulnerable to climate change in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue.
A delegation of the General Department of Natural Disaster Prevention and Control under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development had a working visit to Japan from November 30 – December 4 to learn the host country’s experiences in coping with super Typhoon Hagibis, especially in the dyke management.
Over the past days, great efforts have been made to deal with consequences of torrential rains and floods in line with instructions of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on December 2 ordered more efficient measures to overcome consequences caused by natural disasters and help affected residents return to their normal lives.
