Vietnamese firms will have the chance to acquire the latest global manufacturing and machine-tool technologies at the country's largest manufacturing solutions event to be held next month in HCM City.
The exhibition would help domestic businesses promote their products and build new partnerships to increase their competitiveness, organisers said.
The 7th Vietnam International Precision Engineering, Machine Tools and Metalworking Exhibition (MTA) would be held from July 6 to 9 at the Sai Gon Exhibition and Convention Centre, Bui Thi Thuc Anh, director of VCCI Exhibition Service Ltd Co, one of the organisers, told the media in HCM City on June 22.
The MTA would also be an ideal platform for the companies and other visitors to achieve a sound understanding of manufacturing in Vietnam , she said.
"These modern technologies and machines will support the development of supporting industries as well," she said.
On show will be the entire technology range across all processes, including metal cutting machines, sheet metal machines, testing and measurement systems, cutting tools, and laser technologies.
William Lim, project director of MTA Vietnam 2010, said more than 330 companies - 43 percent more than last year - from 23 countries and territories, including mainland China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, the US, and Singapore would showcase their products.
Germany , Singapore , the Republic of Korea , Taiwan , the US , Japan , and Thailand are expected to bring their latest offerings.
There will be a seminar each on engineering maintenance and production waste management on July 7 and 8.
The exhibition will be held by the VCCI in collaboration with Singapore Exhibition Services Pte Ltd./.
