Market-based approach to non-performing loan resolution
After more than a decade of addressing non-performing loans (NPLs), Vietnam’s banking system is facing a requirement to innovate its approach. Resolution 79 of the Politburo is expected to open a new direction, moving towards resolving NPLs through a market-based, more transparent, and substantive mechanism.
