The Mexican Labour Party (PT) will, for the third time, chair the Mexico-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Group (VMFPG), according to PT General Secretary Alberto Anaya Gutiérrez.
Gutiérrez, who is also President of VMFPG, said the group aims to enhance the relations between the two parliaments and contribute to reinforcing and expanding the multifaceted ties between Vietnam and Mexico.
During his visit to the Vietnam’s pavilion at the fifth Friendship Culture Fair in Mexico City on June 9, the Mexican party leader talked with the participating staff from the Vietnamese Embassy to Mexico.
He spoke highly of Vietnam’s role in the fair, which is the most important cultural event held in the city.
This year’s event ran from May 25 – June 9 and drew the participation of 82 nations from around the world. It received 1.5 million visitors and made a revenue of 5 million USD.-VNA
