Moc Chau national tourist area recognised

The northern mountainous province of Son La held a ceremony in Moc Chau district on May 18 to officially announce a decision recognising the Moc Chau national tourist site.

The decision to recognise the Moc Chau national tourist site was signed by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism on April 22.

The site is expected to become a driving force of the provincial and regional tourism sector, offering a diverse range of unique products and services.

It will feature a resort centre, an eco-tourism centre, and an amusement centre.

Covering over 200,000 hectares in Moc Chau and Van Ho districts, the area houses national relic sites and nearly 20 provincial relic sites, that highlight the unique cultural values of various ethnic minority groups.

Last year, the Moc Chau national tourist area was honoured as “Vietnam’s Leading Natural Destination 2023”, and “Asia’s Leading Regional Natural Destination 2023”, at the World Travel Awards 2023./.
