Hanoi (VNA) – Monsoon Music Festival (MMF 2017) will take place in Hanoi on November 10-13 with artists and bands from various countries slated to perform.
The festival, Vietnam’s biggest music event, is held annually as part of a plan which was recently approved by the Hanoi People’s Committee to develop culture in the capital.
The MMF 2017 also aims to raise public awareness of traffic safety, with several activities being held on walking streets around Hoan Kiem lake.
Since its debut in 2014, MMF has attracted thousands of music lovers from Vietnam and abroad thanks to its diverse music. Some big international names have performed at MMF, including the all-female Australian/British string quartet Bond, Grammy-winning soul singer Joss Stone and German rock band Scorpions.
The festival also aims to introduce new music projects and allow different generations to share their passion for music in the space of a world cultural heritage, the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long.-VNA
