A ceremony was held on May 6 in central province of Thua Thien – Hue to rebury the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and specialist who were killed on the battlefield in Salavan province, Laos.
The 23 sets of remains were found in a joint effort of the Thua Thien – Hue Military Command and Lao authorities and people during the past months.
Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Government, Ministry of National Defence, Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Military Zone 4 and heads of provincial agencies.
After offering flowers and incenses at the city’s martyrs monument, the organising board buried the remains, of which three were identified and sent home for funerals./.
