More people benefit from digital cable TV development strategy

The Vietnam Cable Television & Electronics Joint Stock Company (CEC) and six leading cable TV service providers have signed a digital cable TV development strategy.

Under the strategy, an estimated 10million people who are customers of the six providers are expected toenjoy various TV channels without using television receiving equipment.

Theseproviders include the Ho Chi Minh City Cable Television Station (HCTV),the Hanoi Broadcasting Service Company (BTS), the ElectronicInformation Telecom Joint Stock Company (Eliteco), the Autumn RiverJoint Stock Company (Arico), the Anpha Quang Ninh Cable TV Company andthe Friendship Hi-tech Development Ltd. Co. (FTDT)./.

Vietnam’s hiring outlook to see strong growth in Q4

‘Small bricks’ help strengthen Vietnam-France ties

Phu Tho: 200kg bomb safely relocated, detonated

According to a report by the Phu Tho Military Command, local residents spotted the bomb on August 31 in the Da River after the river water receded, exposing it beneath mud and soil on the riverbed. The bomb remained intact, including its fuse, and was located about 300m from a residential area.

Shift to data-driven administrative procedures needs acceleration

Under a draft decree replacing Decree 63, authorities will have to proactively pull information from databases and records for informational or technical procedures. Applicants would no longer be required to resubmit documents, and certification or information requests could not be turned into discretionary licensing through an “ask – give” mechanism.
