-President Vo Van Thuong and his spouse hosted a banquet in honour of Philippine President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. and his spouse, who are on a state visit to Vietnam, in Hanoi on January 30 evening.

In his remarks, President Thuong said the first visit to Vietnam by the Philippine President and his spouse, taking place just ahead of the Vietnamese people’s traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) festival, further inspires the confidence in a bright future and new prospects to continue strengthening the sound friendship and cooperation between the two countries, which will celebrate the 10th anniversary of their strategic partnership in 2025 and the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic relations in 2026.Read full text

-Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang on January 30 presented the Navy High Command with 1.55 billion VND (63,500 USD) donated by overseas Vietnamese (OV) to a programme on greening Truong Sa (Spratly).

-A memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation to improve road traffic safety in Vietnam in the 2024 – 2026 period was signed between the Department of Roads of  Vietnam (DRVN) under the Ministry of Transport and 3M Corporation of the US at a ceremony in Hanoi on January 30.
