Khau Pha Pass in Mu Cang Chai district, the northern mountainous province of Yen Bai, is an attractive destination. The pass stuns travelers with its beautiful and poetic scenery, where high mountains stand on one side and the other side is a deep valley covered with fluffy white clouds around the year.
To meet the adventure tourism needs of visitors to mountainous Mu Cang Chai district in Yen Bai province, driving off-road ATVs, or all-terrain vehicles, is being trialled as a tourism offering.
A new rice festival was held in Mu Cang Chai district in the northern province of Yen Bai on September 25 as part of activities surrounding UNESCO’s recognition of Xoe Thai as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
With a host of attractive tourism programmes and beautiful terraced rice fields, Mu Cang Chai district in the northern mountainous province of Yen Bai is becoming a popular destination among domestic and international tourists.
The first wild peach blossom festival opened in Mu Cang Chai district in the northern mountainous province of Yen Bai on December 24. It will run until January 1 and is expected to welcome visitors coming to admire wild peach blossoms, which are known as “tớ dày” in Vietnamese and blossom only in the cold of winter.
In its recent article, Condé Nast Traveler, a famous tourism website, has listed Mu Cang Chai Rice Terrace Fields and Ha Long Bay of Vietnam among the most colorful places in the world.
The “Son tra” (docynia indica) festival, which highlights the cultural traits of ethnic minority groups and standout local products, was held recently by Son La province’s Muong La district and nearby Yen Bai province’s Mu Cang Chai district. The event left a lasting impression on visitors.
