The Muong Lo Cultural – Tourism Week and Mu Cang Chai terraced field festival 2019 is scheduled to take place in the northern mountainous province of Yen Bai in September.

Yen Bai (VNA) – The Muong Lo Cultural – Tourism Weekand Mu Cang Chai terraced field festival 2019 is scheduled to take place in thenorthern mountainous province of Yen Bai in September.

Duong Van Tien, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’sCommittee, said the events aim to introduce local tangible and intangiblecultural values to tourists at home and abroad, and form a sustainable tourismdevelopment linkage between provincial localities and northwestern provinces.

A street parade, culinary cultural and paragliding festivals,highland market, among others in Mu Cang Trai district are also planned.

A festival to honour Suoi Giang ancient tea tree, Tu Leyoung rice grinding competition, hot spring and adventure tours will be alsoorganised.-VNA

Tet gifts, chung cake made for disadvantaged people

During the conference, delegates examined a wide range of themes, including geology, geomorphology and biodiversity; cultural values such as history, archaeology and intangible heritage; human adaptation; site integrity, boundaries and management challenges; and a roadmap for nominating the Van Long – Tam Chuc wetland karst area as a World Heritage Site.

First-ever pho museum opens in HCM City

Located in an 800-square-metre area in Ben Thanh ward, the museum is the first private culinary museum in Vietnam licensed by the HCM City Department of Culture and Sports.
