Ngoc Ha flower village in Ba Dinh district is one of the most popular flower villages in the capital city of Hanoi. Due to fast urbanisation, the village is becoming smaller. Mural paintings created by villagers are considered a way to remind them of their traditional craft.
Ngoc Ha Village used to grow many flowers like roses, chrysanthemums, violets and carnations. Images of these flowers are depicted through wall paintings in an alley leading to the village. This helps the next generations understand more about their village.
These wall paintings by Ngoc Ha villagers have helped protect the environment, beautify their living space and serve as a way to educate the young generations of the village’s history.-VNA
