Hanoi (VNA) - Seven people died and one is still missing when a motor vessel capsized in a river near May Lun city in Myanmar in the dawn on April 13, according to local authorities.
With 61 passengers on board, the vessel, which was on a pilgrimage tour from a village in Ann township, Rakhine state to Kyauktaw township, capsized in the Min Chaung river near May Lun township as its machine’s fan was jammed with fishing nets.
A total of 53 people survived the tragedy.
Rescue work is underway.
