Hanoi (VNA) – Chairman of the Special AdvisoryCouncil for Myanmar (SAC), Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met theAssociation of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) envoys in Nay Pyi Taw on March21.
According to a statement issued by the council's InformationTeam, Min Aung Hlaing held talks with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister PrakSokhonn, the current special envoy of ASEAN, and Lim Jock Hoi, Secretary-Generalof ASEAN, at his office in the capital city.
Min Aung Hlaing briefed the ASEAN envoys of the results ofthe 2020 general elections and the situation of terrorist actions in Myanmar,the statement said.
The SAC leader and ASEAN envoys exchanged views on mattersrelating to the progress on implementation of ASEAN's Five-Point Consensus,the provision of humanitarian assistance for the Myanmar people, and enhancingASEAN cooperation, it said.
