National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung received the new Saudi Arabian Ambassador Dakhil Al Johani in Hanoi on August 19, noting that Vietnam’s National Assembly will work closely with the ambassador to develop bilateral ties.

Vietnam’s National Assembly is interested in boosting cooperation with the Saudi Arabian parliament in law making and supervisory experience sharing, said the Chairman.

He also added that the two sides should enhance delegation exchanges at all levels as well as promote support at multilateral parliament forums.

For his part, Ambassador Dakhil Al Johani said Saudi Arabia is keen to boost cooperation with Vietnam in labour and agriculture.

The two countries need to put forth measures to multiply the current trade turnover of 2 billion USD, he added.

The diplomat also expressed his hope that the Vietnamese National Assembly and Government would create favourable conditions for the two countries’ businesses.-VNA
