NA Standing Committee convenes sixth session

The sixth session of the NA Standing Committee opened in Hanoi on Mar.19.
The sixth session of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committeeopened in Hanoi on Mar.19, focusing on contents to improve thelegislative body’s operational efficiency.

NA Chairman NguyenSinh Hung, who chaired the session, said that the Ministers of Healthand of Home Affairs will take the floor in a hearing at the session. Theevent will also be attended by leaders of relevant agencies.

On its first day of working, the Standing Committee was presented with a report on the implementation of the 1992 Constitution.

Onthe second day, it will give opinion on amendments and supplements tothe Tax Management Law and the arrangement of human resources fornational programmes.

Lawmakers will also discuss plans to allocatecapital sourced from Government bonds in 2012 and increase the number ofjudges in local people’s courts in 2012 and 2013 as well as the staffof the Supreme People’s Court Judges Selection Council.-VNA
