National Assembly deputies debated a number of draft laws on the second day of the fifth sitting on May 21 under the chair of NA Vice Chairman Huynh Ngoc Son.
Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang presented the draft Law on amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the Law on Fire Preventing and Fighting.
Nguyen Kim Khoa, Head the NA’s Committee for National Defence and Security reported to the NA on the verification of the draft Law on amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the Law on Fire Preventing and Fighting and revisions to the draft Anti-Terrorism Law.
The legislators contributed their ideas to a number of contents stipulated in the draft Anti-Terrorism Law, focusing on anti-terrorism policies and banned activities.
They proposed the establishment of steering committees on anti-terrorism at national and provincial levels.
The NA worked in groups in the afternoon, focusing on the draft amendments to the Laws on Valued-Added Tax and Corporate Income Tax.
On May 22, the deputies are scheduled to discuss in groups reports on the implementation of the national socio-economic plan and the State budget in 2012 and the first months of this year, as well as the State budget balance for 2011.-VNA
