Hanoi (VNA) – Close to 39,000 Vietnamese students are studying in Japan in 2016, rising 47 percent compared to 2014 figure.
Vietnamese students form the second largest community among over 200,000 international students from more than 170 countries studying in Japan, just after China.
The figure was revealed at “Study in Japan” fair 2016, organised by Japan Alumni of Vietnam under the sponsorship of Japanese Embassy in Vietnam last weekend.
Representatives from the Japanese Embassy, Japan Student Services Organisation (JASSO) and Japanese universities provided participants with useful information on studying in Japan such as the scholarships system, support policies for foreign students, procedures to apply to Japanese schools and degree recognition.-VNA

The number of s tudents from Vietnam in Japan increased by 91.6 percent to 26,439 in May 2014, the second largest among foreign students, according to the latest survey by Japan Student Services Organisation (JASSO).
