Vietnam’s new ambassador to Germany Nguyen Thi Hoang Anh, presented her credentials to President Joachim Gauck at the Bellevue Palace in Berlin, Germany on July11.
During their talks after the welcome ceremony, the two sides expressed an interest in proceeding with a series of undertakings, initially put forward in their joint statement, issued previously in Hanoi , on a strategic bilateral plan of action.
The Hanoi statement signed by both Governments last year raised their bilateral relationship to a strategic partnership, which focuses on cooperating in several fields. These include politics, trade and investment, legislation, environmental protection, education and training, science and technology, culture, communications and social affairs.
President Gauck showed a lot of interest in the ‘German House Project’ in Ho Chi Minh City and thanked the Vietnamese community in Germany for their input into the country.
