New bridge links Mekong Delta provinces

The Co Chien bridge between the Mekong Delta provinces of Tra Vinh and Ben Tre has been completed after two years of construction, Sai Gon Giai Phong reported.

The four-lane bridge is 1.6km long and 16m wide and cost more than 2.3 trillion VND (103 billion USD).

NguyenThanh Tam, Deputy Chairman of the Tra Vinh Provincial People’sCommittee, said the bridge helps shorten the route between Ho Chi MinhCity and Tra Vinh by 60km, boosting development of the province’seconomy and tourism.-VNA
