A ceremony was held on July 23 to inaugurate a treatment facility of the National Hospital of Endocrinology in Tu Hiep suburban commune of Hanoi.
The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan and Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien.
The nine-storey facility, built at a cost of 500 billion VND (about 23 million USD), is capable of accommodating from 480-700 patients.
Along with a five-storey facility and other auxiliary works that went into operation in 2012, the new hospital is expected to contribute to reducing patient overload and provide high-quality medical examinations and treatment for outpatients.
On this occasion, Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan visited and presented gifts to war invalids and Agent Orange victims who are receiving treatment at the hospital as part of activities to mark War Martyrs and Invalids’ Day.-VNA
