New national endocrinology hospital facility inaugurated

A ceremony was held on July 23 to inaugurate a treatment facility of the National Hospital of Endocrinology in Tu Hiep suburban commune of Hanoi.
A ceremony was held on July 23 to inaugurate a treatment facility of theNational Hospital of Endocrinology in Tu Hiep suburban commune ofHanoi.

The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of Vice StatePresident Nguyen Thi Doan and Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien.

Thenine-storey facility, built at a cost of 500 billion VND (about 23million USD), is capable of accommodating from 480-700 patients.

Alongwith a five-storey facility and other auxiliary works that went intooperation in 2012, the new hospital is expected to contribute toreducing patient overload and provide high-quality medicalexaminations and treatment for outpatients.

On this occasion,Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan visited and presented gifts to warinvalids and Agent Orange victims who are receiving treatment at thehospital as part of activities to mark War Martyrs and Invalids’ Day.-VNA

Vietnam moves toward universal free annual health checkups from 2026

Every Vietnamese citizen from 2026 onward will be entitled to at least one free annual medical checkup or screening. Each individual will also have a digital health record integrated into the national digital identification platform VNeID, enabling authorities and healthcare providers to manage health data in a synchronised and continuous manner.

Ho Chi Minh City rolls out electronic health records on digital citizen app

Under the plan, each resident will be assigned a unique EHR linked to their personal identification number, ensuring accuracy and consistency while minimising duplication and data discrepancies. Health data will be continuously updated from medical facilities, routine check-ups, and screening programmes, then integrated and centrally displayed on the application.

Hospital duo on track for Q2 opening as roadblocks vanish
