New school-year welcomes poor students with scholarships

Doraemon Scholarship Fund of Kim Dong Publishing House has offered 550 scholarships worth one million VND each to poor children, orphans or those of ethnic minorities with good study performance on the occasion of the new academic year.

Organisations and individuals of central Nghe An province have joined hands to build a 180-million VND dormitory for local poor mountainous students.

In the northern province of Bac Giang, the provincial Communist Youth Union in association with Cannon Vietnam presented 140 bicycles to local poor students.- VNA
