New Vietnam-Laos border marker inaugurated

The central province of Thua Thien Hue inaugurated marker 666 at the A Dot-Ta Vang border gate, a major marker on the Vietnam-Laos border line, at a ceremony on May 18.
The central province of Thua Thien Hue inaugurated marker 666 at the A Dot-Ta Vang border gate, a major marker on the Vietnam-Laos border line, at a ceremony on May 18.

The marker, which is made of granite on a steel-reinforced concrete foundation, is among 26 new border markers to be erected along the 26km common border between Thua Thien-Hue province and Sekong province of Laos .

Ho Xuan Man, provincial Party Committee’s Secretary thanked the Sekong authorities and people for their close cooperation in building the border marker.

On this occasion, Thua Thien-Hue transferred 42 houses and a school as gifts to Sekong province./.
