Nghe An: 38,000 labourers to be provided with jobs in 2017

The central province of Nghe An has planned to bring jobs to about 38,000 local labourers in 2017, 59 percent of them being skilled ones.

Nghe An (VNA) – The central province of Nghe An has plannedto bring jobs to about 38,000 local labourers in 2017, 59 percent of them beingskilled ones. 

The locality is facing difficulties in generatingjobs to local labourers as it has few enterprises which cannot meet demand of ahuge number of graduates.  

Additionally, there is also a large number ofuntrained workers, especially in mountainous districts. 

The local authorities have built a number ofmodels to provide jobs for rural labourers but they failed to prove effective. 

To overcome the situation, the province hastaken synchronous measures to create jobs for workers, focusing on designingspecific policies for each group, promoting vocational training, and making iteasy for locals to access low-interest loans for production and business.

Attention has been paid to upgrading vocationaltraining establishments, and calling for investment in projects to generatejobs.

According to the provincial People’s Committee, betweennow and 2020, about 167,160 local people will need jobs and those who need vocationaltraining will number 74,300.-VNA

FLC appeal hearing postponed, giving more time for compensation

After discussions and listening to opinions from lawyers, defendants, and victims present at the trial, the judicial panel stated that postponing the appeal hearing for Trinh Van Quyet, ex-chairman of FLC Group, is necessary to ensure the rights of the victims. The postponement aims to give the defendants and their families more time to pay compensation for victims and those with related rights and obligations.
