Hanoi (VNA) – Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical LLC (NSRP) in the north-central province of Thanh Hoa has resumed its normal operation after completing major maintenance on October 11, one week ahead of schedule.
The company will resume sales of refined fuels from October 12.
The early completion of the overall maintenance that lasted for nearly two months showed the company’s commitment to closely coordinating with partners in the joint venture to ensure the progress and budget set for the maintenance.
Nghi Son plant is a joint venture project of Japan's Idemitsu Kosan Co, Kuwait Petroleum, Vietnam's state oil firm PetroVietnam and Mitsui Chemicals Inc.
One of the top priorities in the company's operations is its commitment to ensuring a sustainable and stable energy supply for Vietnam.
In the context of a global crude oil shortage, NSRP is coordinating with Kuwait Petroleum Company (KPC) to ensure the plant has enough crude oil supply for its operation and production. The completion of the overall maintenance is also the premise to help the plant restart and operate normally again and soon increase capacity in the coming time./.
