Hanoi (VNA) - The Ninh Binh tourism week 2019, themed “The Golden Colourof Tam Coc – Trang An”, will be held from May 18-25, with a wide range ofactivities.

The event aims to promote the marvellous beauty of the land of Ninh Binh,especially the cultural and natural heritage of Trang An, to both domestic andforeign visitors, thus stimulating local tourism growth.

Participating in the event, visitors will have a chance to immerse themselvesin the serene beauty of golden rice fields stretching right under the stunninglimestone ranges and river, and enjoy folk songs sang at the boat wharf andcaves.

The event also includes cuisine food display and activities at the walkingstreet.

Some of local traditional handicraft villages like Van Lam embroidery, the KimSon sedge mattress weaving, and Bo Bat ceramic making will display part oftheir production process at the event.

The event was held for the first time in 2018 and is made an annual activity ofthe province’s tourism sector in a bid to attract more visitors and boost thedevelopment of the local tourism. - VNA
