Official appreciates DELL EMC’s cooperation in e-government building

A Vietnamese senior official has expressed how highly he values the cooperation of DELL EMC Group in Vietnam in helping to develop e-government and smart cities.

Hanoi (VNA) – A Vietnamese senior official has expressed how highly hevalues the cooperation of DELL EMC Group in Vietnam in helping to develope-government and smart cities.

At a reception for visiting Vice President of DELL EMC Indochina Anothai Wettayakornin Hanoi on July 11, Nguyen Van Binh – Politburo member, Secretary of theCommunist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, and head of its EconomicCommission – said the development of smart cities is one of Vietnam’sprioritised strategies, aimed at ensuring the effective direction of urbanisationand application of advanced technologies for Industry 4.0.

Binh thanked DELL EMC for its participation in the Industry 4.0 Summit andExhibition 2018, to be hosted by the Vietnamese Government and the commissionon July 12-13.

He suggested that the group share experience and provide policy consultancy forVietnam so that the country can actively and effectively engage in the fourth industrialrevolution.

For his part, Anothai Wettayakorn spoke highly of Vietnam’s socio-economicdevelopment achievements over recent years. He also shared his views on the visionand strategy for the development of its smart city projects and technologyframework for the Government in general, and cities in particular.

He wished to continue close and effective collaboration with Vietnam in thetime to come. -VNA
