The Ok Om Bok Festival, a traditional cultural event of the Khmer ethnic community and a recognised national intangible cultural heritage, was held on November 5 at the Ao Ba Om national historical and scenic site in Vinh Long province.

The Ok Om Bok Festival, also known as the Moon Worshipping Ceremony, is a traditional festival of the Khmer people. It is held on the full moon night of the tenth lunar month at pagodas, in households, or in open spaces, to express gratitude to the Moon God who, according to Khmer belief, protects crops, ensures favourable weather, and brings fruitfulness and prosperity to villagers.

The Mekong Delta province of Soc Trang has announced plans for the Ok Om Bok Festival, one of three major festivals of the Khmer people in the South.
