Online firm registration to boom in 2017

 Hanoi (VNA) - The rate of enterprises registering online is expected toreach 30 percent this year, said Tran Thi Hong Minh, head of the BusinessRegistration Management Agency under the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

“Thisis an encouraging number, showing the determination of the businessregistration agency,” she added.

Statisticsshowed that the rate of enterprises registering online nationwide was 14 percentlast year. However, the rate in the fourth quarter was more than 35 percent,exceeding Government targets.

Interms of cities and provinces, the rate of enterprises registering online in Hanoiwas 18 percent for the whole year last year and 51 percent in the fourthquarter.

InHCM City, the rates were 25.4 percent for the year and 62.1 percent for thefourth quarter.

Manylocalities have made efforts to promote online business registration. Of these,Hue and Da Nang are leading in innovating supporting methods and encouragingenterprises to register online, said the agency.

Inaddition, local authorities have implemented measures to improve the rate ofenterprise registration online.

TheMinistry of Planning and Investment last year upgraded infrastructure andupdated applications allowing online registration with over 100 processes atlevel 3 or higher, including 95 processes implemented at level 4.

Simultaneously, the ministry made public theentire business registration process as well as the record status on thenational information system for business registration.-VNA
